You might look at your manual to verify how it should be
attached. Hope this might help.
This is what I am thinking. I thought the needle was having issues, when really I needed to turn the bar to the back. I used a Big Foot FMQ attachment. With a walking foot the bar rests on top of the needle thumbscrew.
