I've made quite a few quilts in my day - lots of baby quilts, just one queen size, lots of quillows and lap quilts. A few of those were whole cloth quilts. I love to hand quilt. I'm not very precise with my cutting and sewing of pieces so I go for larger, simpler squares.

I haven't quilted in a long time.

About six months ago, I saw a tutorial for a hexagon quilt - all sewn by hand with plastic templates. I haven't stopped thinking about it. It was so pretty and since I love to hand sew, I thought it would be fun to make and the templates would help with my accuracy.

I usually keep to smaller projects because I'm always looking forward to the next one. I might start out with a hexie table mat or maybe some hexie pincushions.

Anyway, I joined this forum as a way of looking for inspiration to get back to quilting. You all do amazing work and I am definitely feeling inspired. Thank you!
