If I'm looking at this correctly the actual disc for the basic Embird software is $9.50, but then the registration code is $144! And not to mention any extra plug-ins and whatnot
But as cjtinkle stated, most other embroidery programs are $1,500 - $2,000. With Embird, you can add modules as you need (if you need them).
