My fabric adventures…. Weatherford …..
I was fortunate enough to make my way to a couple of quilt shops on my way home from my parents house.. I came to a lil town called Weatherford in Texas.. I grabbed my GPS and typed in Quilts and a few shops came up.. It was getting late in the day so I had to make it quick.. The first one I decided to hit was …Quazy Quilt Shoppe..
http://quazyquiltshoppe.com/ It was a cute cottage style shop. Each 'room' was filled wall to wall with beautiful fabrics.. Lovely quilts adorned the walls.. The employees were absolutely helpful and super friendly.. I was immediately approached, greeted and was offered information on their classes.. Hmm, long drive for me to come back for them, so I politely declined and then the tour of the shop began.. Clean, organized and soooo many fabric choices it was awesome.. I found some fabrics I couldn't live without and I did find some really nice selections in their clearance section as well.. Not to shabby!! The prices are comparable to most LQS but if you are in the area you should check it out just to check it out..
From there one of the employees directed me to Gibson’s Ace hardware.. Yes you read it correctly It was an ACE HARDWARE with what they called ‘soft goods’. Hmmmm, interesting... I had to check it out.. I walked in and it looked just like an ACE Hardware should look like, but I wandered further in and found the delightful 'soft goods' section.. They had a nice selection of really nice quality fabric for slightly less than LQS prices.. I do believe most was Moda fabric too.. They even had a notions section... Wow, who knew an ACE would carry such things?!?!?! lol..This was definitely a 'must stop' place… I picked out my goodies and went on my way..
