For about 8 bucks you can buy a snap line thingie at the local hardware store and fill with quilter's chalk. It would make nice straight lines for quilting or lining up longarm quilting areas...Genius!
STOP....those chalks are NOT meant to go on your fabric....we tried that once in Alaska when we could not get the quilter's chalk to fill the pounce pad...it was horrible...
it gets on everything and sticks...and stains....

use the products that are formulated for fabric..even if they do cost a bit more..this is not like buying a HF blade because it is cheaper..this is going to ruin your quilt....
