I am not sure about the washability of colored pencils. Crayons will hold up but I don't know for how long. I didn't figure I would have to wash a wall hanging. If it gets too dirty I guess I will toss it. A lady did tell me to use fabric medium and it would be washable.

I have never used colored pencils but I think I will try them also. By the way I love your Iris block. They are very beautiful. You did a wonderful job on them.
