Do you have more t-shirts to put into it? I just made one that had 20 shirts plus some pretty big "sashing". I used the BQ3 pattern. Here's the link:

Also, my absolute favorite thing is to use the pocket from a hoodie and leave it open when you quilt it-great place to stash the tv remote!
Also, you can probably find your university's logo fabric here:

No matter what though, I'd use the border you designed! That's really cool!
