I remember wanting to play softball as a kid. M mom being a single parent couldn't always afford to just go out and buy what ever we wanted. So she and my grandma saved the stamps. She was saving for new pots and pans but used them to get me and my sister ball gloves. I will never forget them they were red, white and blue. I played ball for about 15 years. Green stamps made it possible. Anyone remember the ceramic brown bean pots with the hot plate they sat on? My MIL still has one.
