I have a friend who "drops in" with slacks that need shortening, jeans that need patching, blouses missing buttons, etc. She asked me once if I could shorten the jeans she wanted to wear when she & her hubby ride our horses with my hubby, & I made the mistake of saying "Yes". I've created my own monster - so far she hasn't asked me to make a quilt - would have to figure the cost & come up with a price if she did that.
In her defense, she does fix wonderful the Korean food she grew up with, and is generous with it, so I hesitate to gripe. :)
