That is enough to have enough fabric to make a whole bed quilt - after you have made a lap quilt!
Think something like a bunch of each a different color ohio star blocks scattered on the same or several alternating backgrounds?
"Modern" is more how you use a pattern, than how long a pattern has been around!
LOL! I'm new enough to quilting that I have no idea how much to buy when I don't have a pattern. I figured though that whatever I have left over I can use for a pieced back...or another quilt. We'll see when I'm done. Thanks for the idea of the Ohio star! I'm grateful for all the ideas I've gotten! Trying to decide now is the tough part!
