I'm doing a QAYG now. I divided the quilt up in four parts and sewed the blocks together to make one quarter of the quilt. This quilt has no borders but if it did I'd add the borders to each outside quarter to be quilted along with the blocks. No one can tell it was quilted in sections, the back looks like a pieced back because I usually use different fabrics for the back for each quarter. It's takes very little basting for a quarter of a quilt. A queen or king size I divide the quilt in 6, 8 or even 10 sections.
