IT DOES MATTER, especially if you are buying or selling. the price of Batiks reflects all details that have gone into making it, which differs from regular cottons.
you really DO need to know the difference so you don't get ripped off!!!
I second that! It does matter a great deal! I love working with batiks. I've only just discovered this joy.
