When I started quilting, I used my right knee (I'm right-handed). Then I bought a bigger sewing machine which had a presser foot attachment you move with your knee. Well, you know what I did- couldn't get coordinated and did a lot of "oopsies" when I pressed the foot control instead of the presser foot release. The gal at the quilt store said simple, just learn to sew with your left foot. It didn't take long and now I love it!
