Fabric: Hoffman BALI BATIK Ceylon 14 Fat Quarter Bundle that I purchased from an ebay store.

Borders: outer border is also a Hoffman Bali Batik, but I purchased it from my local quilt store. The inner border is also from the local store. I think it's a Moda blender.

Pattern: Yellow Brick Road - made as written, except for 2 borders instead of one.

Batiks - hadn't worked with them before. I got used to both sides being the same really quickly - that was cool. UNTIL I sewed a long border on with the seam wrong-side up. BUT instead of having to rip the entire seam I was able to unstitch just a little on each side of the border seam and resew it the other direction. What would have been a 30 minute session with the ripper turned less than 5. Cool!

I made this for a coworker who lost her job after 20 years because of school budget cuts.

the last border is a print - the green is the spread on the bed1
