I BEGAN RIDING IN THE EARLY 70'S. A WOMAN ON HER OWN BIKE WAS UNUSUAL AND EVEN ONCE, AN OFFICER STOPPED ME JUST TO ASK IF I KNEW HOW TO 'HANDLE THAT BIG MOTORCYCLE'!! AS LONG AS TODAY'S RIDERS HAVE ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES (CONSTANT FLASHERS) AND DRIVE WITH CARE, CHANCES ARE THEY'LL BE JUST FINE. I'D NEVER GIVE UP RIDING!!

I guess it was not very common 'in those days'. I said a prayer for the safety of your son, I know what it is to have your children ride.
