If I start a project and stop before finish (UFO), all parts of that project, fabric, blocks, backing, pattern, special tools, even scraps are placed in a see through tub and labeled then stacked on a shelf in plain sight. If I buy fabric for a project it is washed ironed neatly folded with patern on top and tied in a bundel with Cristmas ribbon then set on a shelf in my china cabnet with my stash (stash is on small bolts) where I can see it and have something to look forward to. After finishing a quilt, and cleaning the mess I always make, I look at my UFO boxes to see if I am ready to get back to one of them. I do keep a written list of projects I must have done by a date posted next to my sewing machine and adjust it as needed.I also have a SOME DAY I WILL MAKE list that I keep adding to.
