I have inventive squirrels - they hang upside down and get into the bird feeders. Sometimes they accidently get hit by at 17g shell and hawks cart them off.
The best yet was a young deer (white tail) when had his up eating seed from the bird feeders even tho DH had spread out some corn for him
We put a plastic owl out and movehim daily around the flowers - and no more animals eating my plants !
Wild life abounds here - turkey and their chicks as well - but the hawk and vultures keep the nasties (rats, mice and snakes) curtailed and clean up the the other rodent messes (squirrels)
Mother nature at her best !
