When you move into the animals domain, you have to expect them to come and visit. You might not like them having their dinner at your expense but they were there first and you are the intruder.
We had a plastic lifesize cat we put in our strawberry patch and the garden and moved it,looked just like our real one so that helped, I liked the use of the owl. A good idea.
