When my great aunt died I was in charge of cleaning out her house, she had no children. She had a room full of Longaberger baskets. I didn't know what they were but I knew they were nice baskets. I kept a few of the more interesting ones and sold the rest to an antique store. They paid me a fortune, this was about 20 years ago. Are the baskets still fetching a high price?
Ebay and similar sites have taken some of the punch out of the Longaberger market, as it is easy to see how much of something is available. But, the older ones still fetch prices way above the purchase price. There is also a web-based collectibles data base by a company called Bentley that provides current market prices. I have the program, to use as an inventory tool.
