If you can get it flat on a very large table or two church tables, you might be able to quilt it by putting the outside edge to the right of the needle, and machine quilting it in sections, within the outlines she has quilted already. Just practice a bit, and match the color of the top and bobbin thread she used.
I think, if you can get someone to help you by holding it, sitting in a chair close, you will indeed be able to get er done!
