This machine is 17 lbs. It's not a mini machine and only 1/3 smaller in size than a regular sewing machine.
There is an embroidery foot for it but from what I read in the manual it is free motion embroidery and does not have a hoop like regular embroidery machines.
Am going to be anxious to hear from you after a couple days of sewing on the machine....I may have to break down and get one also....
