I hope this counts as a quilting post - moderators, please move it if not.
I have a piece of patchwork, hexagons made from Liberty fabrics, that was a kit that I was given in the 1980s, long before I became really interested in quilting. A couple of years ago I came across it, half done, and have finished it off after a mere 24 years or so! I'd now like to use it on a cushion cover. It measures around 16in x 16.5in (picture below) and I have a 20in cushion pad. The Liberty fabric is quite flimsy - dress rather than quilting fabric.
How should I go about making a cushion cover with it? Do I applique it onto a backing fabric? Use wadding? I've never made a cushion cover - don't do sewing apart from P&Q! I'd be grateful for any suggestions on how to do it - but no zips, please!
