My DMIL (deceased) used to make her special fruitcake every fall for gifts at Christmas time.
I used to help her, but never got the recipe. She put brewed coffee into it along with the usual flour, sugar, and dried fruits. She would also soak it repeatedly in brandy from Halloween up until a week before Christmas.
Do any of you know of a fruitcake recipe containing coffee?
I know many are not fans of fruitcake, but her's really was good.
I did an exhaustive computer search but didn't find anything.
