I'm a scratch baker normally, and once when pressed for time a friend gave me this one .... they ARE delicious and as good as or better than many scratch ones!

Instant Cookies

Cream together
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
Mix in ..... 1 double chocolate cake mix
Add in ..... 2 tbsp. hot water (or less, depending on consistency)
Mix in ..... 1 package chocolate chips (and yes, I usually add more and walnuts, and/or whatever!)
Drop tablespoon size mounds onto parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes.
I usually call the version above "Brownie Cookies" because of the chocolate and nuts. Lots of combos are possible by switching the cake mixes and add-ins, though the chocolate basic is still my favourite!

* spice with raisins
* other flavours of chipits
* candies
