We had a backyard pool a few years ago, and kept it covered when we weren't using it. One day our kitty was on the opposite side and saw a bird that she wanted. Hubby watched as she slowly crept toward the bird, right onto the pool cover...She was a very surprised cat when she sank into the pool. Guess she forgot!
