I don't know but many seem to not like that brand. It works fine for me in my machine. That's the key, to find a thread your machine likes and that fits your budget.
Shame on me but I take a small amt of thread from the spool in the store...if it breaks easily, my quilt will fall apart. I'm talking about Coats and Clarks, even Mettler and Gutermann. That's all I can get in the town I live in. Needless to say I order a lot of thread. I have quite a collection now and just ordered more from Connecting Threads. Love their colors and prices. Now if it will work in my Janome.
