Both are very good tutorials, with a ton of pictures and detailed instructions.
The method watterside is showing is different from the methods shown in Kimberly's tutorial.
It's the same (or similar) to the QAYG method shown in the tutorial by DebWatkins:

Also well written, but the final product has a different look.
Check them all out, pick and choose steps from each if it works for you. It's a great technique to know.
