I put my thumbnail on the sewing line and ripped the thangle off as was demonstrated but no matter how I did it, usually, there was some still stuck to the fabric at the ends and when I pulled it off it undid the stitches at that end and I had to resew. Plus my finished block was always still too small.
I love using the paper patterns. Did you use a bigger needle and smaller stitches? That helps when it's time to remove the paper. I always fold the paper on the stitching line before hand too, and most of the time it comes off easily. As for seam lines, try using the "Add A Quarter Ruler" to trim your seam allowances. The edge on the ruler butts up to the paper fold, and when you trim you get a perfect allowance. Don't give up yet. Good luck!
