The walls of my sewing room are the color of brown paper grocery bags...because that's what I wallpapered with!! It actually comes out looking like tooled leather. I can go with a darker wall color like that because I have double windows on three of the walls, so there's plenty of natural light. Once the whole room is done, the walls will be paper bag, the woodwork is Cloud White (ceiling white, too), and accessories will be black or neutrals. I find the white/cream/beige/brown/black combo very relaxing.
