I have used this quite a few times and have never had any problem what so ever with it gumming anything up or being a problem to remove. When I want to remove the PNS I use a stylus to draw over the top of my stitching and press down slightly and then tear it off. It tends to weaken the perforated PNS and tears off easily. Ann in TN
