I'm in Nebraska. I've never bought batting off the roll, only packaged. It's about the only thing I have some room for is the packaged stuff. I never get the 50% off coupons though, 40 is about as I as I've gotten.

Our Hancocks is having a big sale too, but some of their cotton fabric has really gone downhill. I can spend the same money on the same sale at Joanns and the fabric seems sturdier.

Our Joann's just moved into the biggest shop I've seen. It's humongo and now only a few blocks away! Much harder to stay out of now. The only problem is that they really have a poor selection of quilting templates. They have hexies and stuff to piece with, but little to no templates for hand quilting or machine if you follow the stencil. The Hancocks across the street has a very nice selection of those.
