It is really different world we live in now. I left a very bad situation in August of 08 after almost 10 years on the job and the death of my CFO. Found my first position after that November 1, 2010, Laid off Dec 14, 2010. Found another position Feb 2011, and left that the end of April. I found that I had a serious problem reading minds and not knowing what I was supposed to do. I also had a problem with being blamed for things I did not do.
I am now looking again, and how do I tell prospective employers why the last one did not work out? The rules say "do not talk down about your prevous job or employer"!. I am also one of the "age challenged" at 55 years young competing against younger, prettier, more educated, etc... applicants. I keep telling my self that when I am meant to be working I will be, BUT that does not pay the bills. I keep applying.
Also, Why is it these employers can be so rude as to not call you back? Just let me know you have decided on another candidate...
Sorry, I guess today is frustration day for me after applying for 6 jobs in the past 3 days...
