{{{Hugs}}} I understand your pain. I joined a group of ladies and it took at least a year for me to work my way into the group. Stayed with it because one lady knew me from work years ago and was very nice to me. Another was a family friend since 2nd grade or something on my DH side. Now, I am glad I hung in there. A beginner it was a struggle to keep my chin up, now 5 years later they ask me how to!! They are all dear wonderful folks each with their own unique gifts & weaknesses. I love them all dearly, now. Took time & patience.
Sharon Schumler has a you tube video that shows how to use Elmer's glue to hold the binding down, then you iron it, then stitch. This was so helpful for me. Now, I can do binding without the glue and it looks great, but it did take practice & patience. Can use glue from bottle it comes in. Don't have to buy her tool.
