HUGS to you! Thank you so much for making the hats for preemies. I knit hats for preemies for our local hospital. I got some sizes = pounds from a computer site using "crocheted/knitted" hat patterns for preemies as a subject on Google. There are hundreds of patterns but I just needed the sizes for each set of pounds. Our NICU takes all sizes and I make several sizes. Babies have different sized heads just like we make different sized hats. Maybe some of the ladies at the senior center aren't making them the "correct" size. The size = pounds list would at least give you some ammunition to confront them in a nice way.
