*Fill up two bobbins and use one of them for the top thread. That way both the bobbin and top thread will run out at the same time (how many of us have continued to sew without knowing we were out of bobbin thread?)

*Instead of throwing away dull rotary blades, save them and use them to cut wrapping paper.

*I bought a lot of Moda marbles for my current project, but they don't put the fabric number on the selvage like they do on the end of the bolt. So I wrote down the fabric compant, fabric number, and where its supposed to go in my project on a sticky note and stick it right to the fabric (like "Moda Marble 9802 Nabooru Color 3"). Sometimes I'll get ideas right in the quilt shop, buy the fabric, and then forget what the heck I bought it for so I have used the sticky notes to remind me why I bought that particular fabric.
