My DH who is my enabler and got me a Bernina 830 LE for my birthday, came home from CVS (the drugstore in our mall) and with a big smile on his face handed me this little miniature, battery powered sewing machine. He said, "Here now you can sew when the electricity goes out...and it was only $6.99 at CVS." Oh my goodness! It actually does a decent straight stitch although it is a rather longer one then I normally use. I had to laugh! Well....it would fit in my suitcase, and every time I have been to New Zealand to visit our DD she wants me to mend something and always have had to do it by hand  It came with "attachments" 4 bobbins (you can put your top thread on a spool spindle or use it from a bobbin on top.) It has a bobbin on the bottom so it isn't a chain stitch, but a regular one. I don't think it would work on heavy material, but for a quick repair it just might do the trick.

One note....love my DH to pieces, but don't think Ruby, my 830 LE will be collecting dust anytime soon. ;-) Oh, and my 330 goes in the car with me. So I guess this little one is my Airplane machine, wonder if it would clear TSA in carry on...maybe make mini quilts on intercontinental flights. LOL :-D :-D :-D
