LOL - If we don't sew during storms in Florida we'd never sw. During lightning however I would pass unless you have a high quality surge protector power strip that offers replacement of toasted items or the surge protector placed on your meter by the power company.
Same for here in Alabama. Almost everything in my house is plugged in to surge protectors.
