I have a surge protector on my computerized machine. If the storm is particulary bad I unplug everything. My sister just lost some very expensive items that were on a top of the line surge protector in a bad storm.. I have too much $$ tied up to risk it . My sisters recent experience changed my habits .. I used to think if Iwas on a surge protector everythng was fine.
