We did a lot of fly fishing but also "drowned a few worms" just enjoying fishing the clear streams. It was always our great dream to go to Alaska to fish for trout there. I married an Army officer and we never returned to the west. But I got my quilting roots out there and have enjoyed sharing that training as we traveled. (Still miss my boots and pole!)
Thank you for your compliments.
I love fishing too. The fish in the picture is a Sockeye Red Salmon. I came up the Copper River then into the Klutina River where I caught it. There is some great trout fishing here too but it is best in the early Spring and in September.
The Salmon you have to get as they come up the rivers.
Fishing and Quilting, great activities.
Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. I think I might have some confidence now for paper piecing on other projects.
