I have just finished this quilt for my granddaughter Pippa to celebrate her 18th birthday. It's a double quilt containing 28 photos of her, from a few months old until just before Christmas. She lives in France and, since the age of 4, has flown to England unaccompanied, to spend several weeks with us, and to improve her English! All the photos will have special meaning for her and are a record of her visits! Where they live, in Brittany, the clear night skies are full of the most beautiful stars - hence the stars in this quilt! It's my first attempt at FMQ - previously, I've done SID - and I need a lot more practice, but I'm reasonably happy with it! The quilt goes off to France next week.
