James and I stopped in an antique shop today while we were out. He found a "new" old saw and a miter saw/box for our son. I wandered as he was "tooling". I found an old hand pieced/quilted quilt that was all scraps. I couldn't figure out what the pattern was until I picked it up and opened. To my surprise it was a double wedding ring. It was entirely scraps of fabric! The melons and the set pieces as well as the rings were scraps. I wish I had taken pictures, but there was a sign in the shop asking that pictures not be taken, so I didn't. It wasn't in the best condition, so I didn't purchase it either. The shop owner said it came from Iowa. I don't know for sure, but it seemed strange to find it in a little town in rural Arkansas. I think I might use scraps and make one myself.
