I just went to this search because I bought a daybed and didn't realize it until I was driving it home that it has a doggy smell to it. I may have to replace with new mattreses. It's too bad because the bed and linens and mattresses are in almost new condition. I am washing the linens with detergent and baking soda and rinsing with vinegar. Next they will go out in the sun to dry. Hope this does the trick because I hate to get rid of such lovely bedding. If anyone came out with a winning idea, let me know. Thanks.
