Dee sent me this quilt for LAQ.
It is a very crisp clean..nice quilt. Great piecing.
She sent me a picture of how she would like the quilting completed. The picture was actually a hand quilted design in the original pattern. So I sketched over that picture several times to try to get that movement around the edges of the square so I got that right. Then I made a heart template to trace around the block with chalk so I could quilt. I also used a stencil to find the center of each opposite block then made a four petal flower in each quilt.
Dee said I could quilt the borders however I wanted..the main focal fabric has magnolias and it a very pretty soft green. I didn't want to detrat from it so I stippled it..I added leaves and finished it with a feather.

I quilted everything freehand...This has a hobbs cotton batting.
