Also, if the size of the quilt doesn't work the way I want, they say to make it a king, just add the flying geese borders to the sides as well, so I will measure as I go.
The border is the one print I let her pick and the fabrics were all pulled from it. I was worried about it only being in two of the blocks, so I incorporated is as the main fabric in the zigzag geese. Now it flows better.
I laid it out on the floor, took a long time to get it all out, took several pictures and she called and said, I will be at your place in just a minute. Her brother was visiting one of my neighbors. I never scooped up quilt pieces so fast! I let her see the blocks when they were done, the 9 center blocks separately, but will not let them see the quilt until the wedding. Just gave her a teaser with the blocks!
