I'm working on this technique. I can machine quilt like crazy on smaller pieces, but haven't found a satisfactory way to join the blocks.
I don't like the fun and done method because only thread is holding together the blocks. Putting the pieces together with sashing seems to be sturdier, but I don't like the hand sewing involved to finish the last seam neatly.
I'm open to suggestions
