In Western Washington, the Quilt Shop Hop it is a several day event and some fabric companies even design special fabric for the event. It covers the state from the Canadian border to the Oregon border. Each LQS (snd there are about 50 that participate) designs a block with some of the fabrics and the block and some of the fabric are handed out. There is a passport that gets stamped at every shop and then turned in for a drawing.
