Okay, my friend and I have been emailing all day, and here is what I have so far for her.
She just decided on the borders, and I will include that picture too.
She selected the pattern, based on others I have made, and bought and mailed me the fabric. She is very pleased and has had fun doing this. Me too, though a scrappy quilt is still a bit out of my comfort zone.
