I used freezer paper to draft the design elements on because it comes in a large roll. Any large white paper would do for this purpose, but that's what I had available. This design is very symmetrical, so I only had to draw each element once, then trace it onto the quilt top 4 times. I designed this as I went along, putting together motifs to fit the space available. Then I drew some light registration marks on the quilt top, dividing it into quadrants and adding lines at 45 degrees, first so that I could get the placement of each element right. Because the quilt top was white, it was easy enough to trace through without using a light table. The freezer paper is opaque enough that I could just lay it out on the table, tape it done and position the quilt top over it to trace.

Hope that answers your question.
Yes, Thank you!!
