I recently found a Singer 401A. I plan to make a baby quilt using the 401A and my FW. I'm planning to do some piecing with the FW and then the quilting and binding work with the 401A. I always finish off my bindings with some type of decorative stitch since I attach the bindings by machine. A great way to hide the unevenness of the finished machine binding work (at least for me it is. since I can never get it to be perfect on both sides). Anyhow, I'm looking forward to playing with the decorative stitches on the 401. That machine runs very nicely too!
