oh darn...I have so many...but I just got TWO new ones this weekend..have to get pix of them tomorrow to share...

here are a couple from the late 1800's

The textile historian I am working with said NOT to wash any of these....I wish I could though...

civil war era signature block quilt

loo how vibrant that pink is..and look at those lovely old SHIRTINGS...wish we could find them now!

in bottom left corner look how the fabric totally disintegrated. This was the iron oxide dyes that were used.
